Mzansi, start warming up those dancing shoes! Oskido’s Big Day Out is coming back for its third edition, and the festival is bringing more than just a good time to the dancefloor. Durban’s finest are joining the party, FNB is stepping in as an official partner, and South African music history is taking centre stage.
DJ Tira, DJ Sox, collectively known as Durban’s Finest, and DJ Cndo have joined the 2026 line-up. These additions bring a little extra Durban flavour to a festival that celebrates the sounds that have kept generations moving.

Durban’s dance-music legacy gets its flowers
Durban has never needed an invitation to make people dance. From the Kwaito era to the sounds dominating today’s dancefloors, the city has helped shape South Africa’s musical identity for decades.
This year, Oskido’s Big Day Out will honour that legacy by bringing together established pioneers, influential DJs and artists whose music continues to connect different generations. With two stages and a mix of House, Kwaito, Amapiano and Hip Hop, festivalgoers can expect a celebration that bridges the old school and the new school.
Because let’s be honest: some songs do not age. They simply acquire more people who know every word.
Oskido celebrates another milestone
The festival takes place on Saturday, 28 November 2026, at Huddle Park in Linksfield, Johannesburg. Beyond the music, this edition carries special meaning for its founder, Oskido.
The legendary musician and producer will celebrate his birthday alongside a significant career milestone: receiving the Order of Ikhamanga earlier this year in recognition of his contribution to South African music and culture.
For an artist whose influence stretches across generations, the occasion offers another reason to celebrate the legacy he continues to build.
“Big Day Out has always been about bringing people together through music,” says Oskido. He adds that this year’s festival will take the experience further with artists from different eras, two stages and new opportunities for people to connect and create memories.

FNB joins the Big Day Out family
There is another big player joining the festivities. FNB has come on board as the festival’s official partner, bringing together two brands that value connection, shared experiences and lasting relationships.
For FNB, the partnership also reflects its commitment to supporting arts and culture beyond traditional banking.
Philani Potwana, CEO of FNB Private Core Banking and Credit Card, says music brings people together and creates lasting memories. He draws a connection between the longevity of influential artists and FNB’s focus on helping customers build their own legacies through trusted advice and long-term partnerships.
The collaboration gives the financial institution another opportunity to connect with South Africans through music and culturally relevant experiences.
Two stages, generations of music and more to come
With additional artists still to be announced, Oskido’s Big Day Out 2026 is shaping up to celebrate South African music in all its forms.
Whether you are coming for the Kwaito classics, the House anthems, the Amapiano grooves or simply a full day out with friends and family, the festival promises a soundtrack for different generations.
And with more talent announcements and lifestyle experiences on the way, this is one line-up worth keeping an eye on.
