Argyle and Carlisle are both located on the first floor of Sandton Hotel. These venues combine style, flexibility, and practicality, adding to the hotel’s event options. They cater to events like corporate summits, gala dinners, cocktail parties, and book launches. The rooms work well for business meetings and celebrations.
Argyle is the larger space, measuring 142 square metres. It can hold up to 120 guests theatre-style or 80 for a banquet. Meanwhile, Carlisle is more intimate, ideal for groups of up to 50. Both venues have high-speed Wi-Fi, air conditioning, projectors and screens, and a built-in PA system to ensure smooth events.


“These new spaces were designed around the needs of event organisers and attendees alike. It’s about simplicity, quality and versatility. You can host a board meeting in the morning, a product launch by afternoon and a cocktail reception in the evening,” says Ryan Myburgh, the Sandton Hotel Food & Beverage Manager.The new venues complement Sandton Hotel’s impressive conference facilities. In addition, the ballroom remains a highlight, hosting up to 500 guests theatre-style or 400 for cocktails. It can be divided into three rooms, each opening onto a spacious foyer and terrace. These areas are perfect for informal breaks and mingling over refreshments.


How Argyle and Carlisle differ from Sandton Hotel’s existing Venues
Apart from traditional event halls, Sandton Hotel features a range of unique spaces. The Clubhouse pool deck works well for sunset drinks and networking. For larger gatherings, the central piazza offers plenty of room. Exclusive settings like private penthouses and the Presidential Suite include kitchens, large balconies, and skyline views. The hotel also provides four boardrooms, an 80-seat auditorium, and Co-Worx, a co-working space with hot desks and office pods.
