The Grammy-winning musician will perform two exclusive shows in Johannesburg and Cape Town, giving South African fans their first opportunity to experience his live brilliance on home soil. South African rock fans, December is about to get a whole lot louder. International rock icon Jack White is heading to South Africa for two exclusive performances, bringing his unmistakable guitar riffs, gritty vocals and rebellious approach to music to Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Presented by BreakOut Events, the shows mark White’s first-ever performances in South Africa. Following the announcement, tickets are now on sale through Webtickets and the BreakOut Events website

White will take to the stage at The Old Park Station in Johannesburg on Friday, 11 December 2026, before heading to the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens in Cape Town on Monday, 14 December. The two performances promise a chance to experience one of modern rock’s most distinctive artists in two very different settings.
For an artist whose music has always thrived on unpredictability, distortion and a healthy disregard for playing it safe, these shows should be worth the wait.
A Career Built on Making Noise Differently
His distinctive guitar playing and raw, blues-inspired sound helped make The White Stripes a defining act of the early 2000s. Songs such as Seven Nation Army became stadium anthems, while the band’s stripped-back approach proved that rock music did not need unnecessary embellishments to leave a lasting impression.
Jack White continued to explore different musical territories through his work with The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather, before establishing an acclaimed solo career. Across these projects, he has remained committed to experimentation, keeping the spirit of rock music alive without becoming trapped by nostalgia.
His South African performances will draw from this extensive catalogue, alongside material from his latest album, Frozen Charlotte, giving fans a taste of the different musical chapters that have shaped his career.

A December Date With Rock History
For local fans, White’s arrival represents more than another international act adding South Africa to its tour schedule. It is an opportunity to experience a musician whose influence stretches across generations of rock listeners.
His music balances simplicity with ferocity, often finding power in a single riff, an unconventional arrangement or a vocal delivery that sounds as though it might fall apart at any moment. That tension is part of the appeal. White does not simply revisit the traditions of rock; he continues to reshape them.
