Dance Afrika was Co-founded by Sean Barber and Julian Van Plato. “We showcase the best of South African dance music to the world,” says Julian van plato, co-founder of Dance Afrika. “Our goal is not just to ride the wave, but to create it.”

Dance Afrika’s mission is simple: grow African dance music and support talent with real partnerships. With its studios at Rockets Bryanston and full video and promo support, the label gives artists what they need to succeed, from building their brand and income to owning the stage.

Zama Naomi
Zama Naomi is pure energy and passion, lighting up every space with her warm, fearless spirit. She’s open, thoughtful, and never afraid of honest conversations, all the while staying true to her faith.
Born in KwaZulu-Natal, Zama is not just chasing fame; she’s building a legacy with every beat and bold move. Her heartfelt sets draw people in and create a real sense of connection.
Right now, she’s exploring her sound, growing from her Amapiano roots into Deep House and Soulful House as her music evolves.



Kele Megano
Kele Megano is bubbly, outgoing, and always brings the party wherever she goes. She mixes fun with discipline, waking up early, staying fit, and spending hours in the studio. As a top Afro Tech, Afro House, and Deep House DJ, she’s shared stages with legends like DJ Maphorisa, Kabza De Small, Euphonik, and Heavy-K. Born in Gaborone and now based in Johannesburg, Kele’s blend of culture, passion, and drive makes her a true force in dance music.



DJ Fae Fae
DJ Fae Fae is a vibrant force, known for uplifting other female DJs and creating safe, empowering spaces for women. Her energy lights up any crowd. Based in Johannesburg, she’s a popular club DJ, MC, radio host, and brand influencer with a bold hip-hop style.
She began her media journey at UJFM while studying Public Governance at UJ’s Soweto Campus, and later became a resident DJ on YFM, one of South Africa’s top youth stations.
Today, she’s a powerful voice in South Africa’s dance scene.
