Get ready for some exhilarating thrills as Tropika Island of Treasure, South Africa’s most popular adventure reality show, returns for a tenth season. The season features an all-star line-up of much-loved celebrity winners and contestants from the previous nine seasons.
Experience a luxurious island paradise with stunning powder-white beaches, beautiful deep blue waters and striking coral reefs. The show is certainly set to trump the success of Season 9, which ranked as the highest-watched reality show in South Africa on SABC 3 local in 2020.
Tropika Island of Treasure is bigger and better
“We are excited to be bringing back Tropika Island of Treasure after a year-long COVID-19 induced hiatus. The show is bigger and better, and we promise our viewers and consumers adrenaline-filled fun and entertainment with nail-biting, gruelling and also exciting challenges. Celebrity contestants will pair up with nine consumers. They will compete, with the winning team walking away with R1 million cash,” says Barbara George, Tropika Senior Brand Manager.
Launched in 2011, Tropika Island of Treasure has certainly been growing in popularity as the hit reality show has taken audiences on island adventures. Islands from the past seasons have included the Maldives, Zanzibar, Mauritius, Phuket, Mexico, Jamaica, Seychelles and also Curaçao.
Phase One
Phase One of the ten-year celebration runs from 1st April until end of June 2022. All consumers buying Tropika stand a chance to win one of ten big prizes. Prizes include a R250 000 cash voucher from Suzuki as well as many instant prizes. All they have to do is purchase the product and follow the entry mechanisms on the pack. Contenders for the show can audition online to pair up with celebrities on the show and get a shot at the R1 million prize money. All they have to do is submit their auditions on any social media platform by tagging #Tropika. Interested parties may also WhatsApp their audition to 082 857 8054.
Phase Two
The second phase is between September and December 2022. This phase will, of course, follow the nine celebrities and their Tropika consumer partners on the Island of Treasure. They will compete in a series of captivating challenges. Viewers can obviously follow the show and enter to win some smooth prizes.

Previous winners of the show include actor and TV presenter Shashi Naidoo, Hip-Hop artist Da L.E.S and singer Brendan Peyper and his team partner Durban-born Lisanne Lazarus.
